Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association – Young Lawyer Division

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Young Lawyer Division is to educate the youngest and newest members on both the benefits and the expectations of membership. We will also strive to educate law students who aspire to be Trial Lawyers and to promote our organization by building strong relationships between young promising trial lawyers from all over our state as well as diverse trial practice areas. We will strive to better prepare the young trial lawyers of our state for future cases which will only serve to protect all of our future clients.

Through this division we will offer to speak at legal seminars and legal institutions across the state, we will share our ideas and trial experiences with our fellow young trial lawyers on the TTLA young lawyer list serve; we will host young trial lawyer CLE’s, and young lawyer social events. Finally, being a part of this division within TTLA will give young trial lawyers the opportunity to serve on the elected TTLA committee within the young lawyer division and offer the same guidance to young trial lawyers that they once received.

Regardless of how you choose to participate, the ultimate goal and mission of the TTLA Young Lawyers Division is to better prepare you as a trial lawyer as your practice grows and your cases become more complex. We want to pave the path for young trial lawyers and future trial lawyers, by being a beacon of light and leadership for the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association. Being a part of this division will only strengthen the bond and relationships of those involved. Through this organization we will always keep in mind that we are in the business and practice
of helping and serving others, this of which there is no greater calling in life.
