A brief guide to the Tennessee civil justice system.

Legislative Bulletins

The Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association advocates for individual rights in the Tennessee state legislature.  Our Legislative Program works to ensure that laws protecting and promoting the rights of Tennessee citizens are passed in the legislature.

The generous support of our Circle of Advocates enables us to employ a professional lobbying team to remain on top of issues affecting our clients.

The generous support of our members of LIFT, our political action committee, enables us to preserve the right to a jury trial in civil litigation by supporting the campaigns of friends of the civil justice system who run for office in the Tennessee State Legislature.

About Us

For over 55 years, TTLA has worked tirelessly to ensure that everyday citizens, Tennessee families, and small businesses are never deprived of their constitutional guarantee of access to justice.  The mission of TTLA is simple – we are dedicated to protecting the constitutional promise of justice for all by guaranteeing the right to trial by jury, preserving an independent judiciary, and providing access to the courts for all Tennesseans.

Lawyers Involved for Tennessee, or LIFT, works to protect the interests of Tennesseans families, consumers, and businesses by supporting those who defend the integrity of the civil justice system.
